The English version of the ask search engine. The references is to the P.G. Wodehouse character Bertie Wooster's butler Jeeves. Much advertised but the site has never really gained a significant market share. The site was originally called ask jeeves.aspx">ask jeeves in the US but they moved to the more user friendly ask, possibly because the Americans found the name confusing, leaving the British searchers with the ask jeeves tag.
